LWP Hotspot Activity app for iPhone and iPad

This app is designed as a supplementary tool for the enhanced book The International Phonemic Symbols - English Pronunciation Guide available on the iBookstore. It is based on the glossary from the Students Workbook and contains 3 levels of difficulty. There are 5 words within each level which the user will hear and an indication of how many phonemic symbols are in the word is displayed at the top of each screen. The user then has to select the phonemic symbols they believe are contained in each of the words from within the grid displayed on screen. The grid in Level 1 contains 8 symbols to choose from. Level 2 contains 12 symbols and Level 3, 16. The number of achieved points is displayed at the end of each level.
